Designing High-Quality Experiences To Facilitate High-Quality Lives

About

My intrinsic motivation to design a more sustainable world drives me to continuously learn and broaden my perspective. I believe even the most fleeting experiences, when designed with care and intention, can collectively improve human and environmental conditions. As an undergraduate at the University of Michigan, I studied design while volunteering at the American Cancer Society and the VA Hospital—experiences that sparked my lasting curiosity about how complex industries can collaborate to build sustainable systems.

After several years as a designer in Chicago, I earned a Master of Research in Healthcare & Design from the Royal College of Art and Imperial College London, where I explored how AI-driven digital learning platforms might better engage research participants facing communication and consent challenges. I have since moved to Nashville, where I work as a Lead UX Product Designer at Deloitte, focusing on designing thoughtful, ethical, and intentional digital experiences.

When I’m not at work, I channel my passion for craftsmanship into creating art across mediums—from ceramics and painting to beading and engraving. I also run Sidney Krandall Silversmithing, where I design and handcraft heirloom-quality jewelry that blends antique stones, sterling silver, and etched details. These creative pursuits continually inspire and inform my design practice.
